There was a recent report aired on A Current Affair (link to story here) about a wedding photographer called Derek Smith.

The idea for this post came into my head from today’s planning meeting with a couple, they asked the question after seeing the program about how Centre Frame handles images post wedding, backup of images, storage of images, etc.

Essentially the wedding photography image backup process goes as follows.

Why should you print with us?

You receive a disc of images with Centre Frame regardless, along with 10 free 5×7 images but what then?

If you use a local minilab that uses auto-correcting software, image enhancement techniques or has an untrained (sometimes uncaring!) staff member you may be disappointed with the results.  Prints could come out not as sharp as they could have, over-sharpened or even with a poor colour cast, meaning that you’ll either have to take them back, have them reprinted somewhere else or just put up with looking like Kermit.

While the .90c per print might sound good, often print quality is “OK” at the start and tends to fade, warp or otherwise and while the place your printing from could use recognised Kodak or Fuji equipment, it’s the attention to detail that’s the most important thing.  Prints should be able, under the right conditions to outlast you.

Centre Frame chooses to use Nulab, one of the (if not THE) most respected printing labs in Australia, with a track record of proven results.

When you have prints done through us, you have them done correctly, the first time.
